Who are we?

The Sales Engineer (SE) will be based in the Paris office and provide office based support for customers across Europe.
The Sales Engineer works with the Genetec Sales team in a pre-sales role to develop and position solutions encompassing Genetec’s products. The Genetec product portfolio includes Video, Access control and LPR.
During the qualification process, the SE confirms that Genetec’s products meet the requirements and assist sales in technical qualification.
Throughout the proposal process, articulate and demonstrate Genetec solutions, influence customer’s technical requirements, and position products relative to competition.
Working closely with the Regional Sales Manager, the SE is responsible for all of the technical aspects of the sale during the entire sales cycle and is often involved with the client post purchase.
Presentations up to board level and conference call discussions are a critical part of this position.

Other duties will be assigned as required.
The Sales Engineer reports to the Sales Engineering Manager

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain an extensive working knowledge of Genetec's software and hardware solutions
• Define product and functional requirements based on customer and partner requirements
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners
• Conduct in-depth product demonstrations and presentations
• Support sales team in responding to RFP’s
• Work with Technical Support team to assure a smooth transition from pre-sales to the post-sales implementation environment
• Participate in trade shows, exhibitions and seminars
• Create white papers and application notes on Genetec’s software solutions
• Provide technical feedback from the field to Product Management

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Sciences or Computer/Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 Years of work experience minimum with experience in customer facing roles developing technical concepts for an IT or security company.
• Experience in sales engineering or field engineering for an IT or security company
• Excellent presentation skills
• Possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Physical security market experience
• Be comfortable working in a multicultural and multi-national company

Technical Requirements:

• Knowledge on Genetec products
• Knowledge on Video devices and software or Access Control systems
• Networking principles and the IP protocol
• Windows Operating Systems
• PC configuration
• MCSE and/or CCNA certification
• General IT technologies
• English to a business standard
• Other European languages qualification
