The Team:

A core member of Digital Strategy team, the Digital Strategy Specialist will work closely with key stakeholders in the Digital Marketing, Programs, Content, Product, Industry, and Regional Marketing teams to help promote Genetec’s brand presence online as they observe, understand and influence customer buying behavior.

Reporting to the Manager of Digital Strategy, the Digital Strategy Specialist will support and help bring to life our SEO and SEM strategy. Your responsiblities will cover the spectrum of SEO & SEM: conducting SEO keyword analysis to guide our content creators, executing Paid Search & Paid Ad campaigns, monitoring SEO & SEM performance, optimizing demand generation and search related activities with the ultimate goal of increasing conversions and growth. As such, you will have a direct impact on Genetec’s online visibility and success, continuously optimizing our approach through a strong reliance on key data points and metrics. Over time, and based on experience, you will play an increasingly active role in helping define our global SEO & SEM strategy and plan.

What your day will look like:

• Work closely with the Manager of Digital Strategy to deploy the right mix of SEO and SEM tactics.
• Collaborate with your colleagues in the product, industry, channel, content & program marketing teams to drive awareness, traffic, inbound lead generation, as well as to strengthen online brand presence.
• Help define strategies & tactics to increase organic traffic to our web properties.
• Conduct SEO keyword analysis and consult content creators to ensure our content is consumed by the right audience.
• Create and guide link building initiatives for products and industries
• Validate existing and new web pages with SEO best practices and Genetec guidelines in mind.
• Stand up paid search and paid ad campaigns, track performance, and optimize on an ongoing basis.
• Assess our online authority & visibility via key metrics, make recommendations and implement changes.

About you:

• Google Ads, Google Analytics certifications completed (or in progress)
• Facebook/LinkedIn Ads experience
• SEMRush, MOZ or other SEO/SEM-related platform.
• Developed or previously exposed to models to forecast traffic, conversion, and demand.
• Some hands on experience in working with Web Content Management Systems (CMS), web design and HTML as it pertains to SEO best practices & tagging
• Practical knowledge of the digital marketing funnel from awareness to lead conversion, and a demonstrated experience optimizing activities at the top, middle, and bottom of the funnel.
• Understanding of online analytics, metrics, visitor scoring, including defining the appropriate analytics to measure, evaluate and report against goals & objectives.
• Experience with Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console and other performance or monitoring platforms
• Data analysis experience pertaining to SEM/SEO campaign performance
• Good written & verbal communications; English and French proficiency (spoken and written).

Great if you have:

• Experience working for a B2B company in the technology space.
• Understanding of the lead management lifecycle, nurturing and scoring.
• Hands-on experience with these tools
o Project management, eg. Wrike, Asana, Monday, Trello
o Marketing automation, eg. Marketo, Hubspot, Pardot, mailchimp
o Customer Relationship Management (CRM), eg. Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce, HubSpot
o Web Content Management System (CMS), eg. Bloomreach, Adobe
