Omnicast™ Video Management System (VMS) is Genetec’s most mature product line part of the Unified Security Platform, Security Center. Omnicast™ is built of an enterprise feature set capable of addressing needs of a variety of customers and industry from smaller system to very large scale and distributed systems. Omnicast is offered both as a perpetual and subscription licensing model. The subscription model is an essential part of Genetec’s strategy.

Key to this role is the ability to clearly understand and assess the rapidly changing market of video surveillance, learn thoroughly and communicate the value and functionality of Omnicast™ and have the skills to mobilize different stakeholders around the global organization for the success of the product.

Responsibilities:

What your day will look like:
• Gather, evaluate and document market demands, opportunities and feature requests both strategic and tactical for existing or new product evolution and make them actionable items for the R&D team;
• Develop commercial product offering to tailor the offering to specific industry and/or regional markets;
• Develop and communicate internal and external product roadmap by setting product/feature priorities;
• Evaluate and understand industry trends, market segmentation and competitive landscape;
• Continuously assess product and market performance;
• Serve as internal and external evangelist for the product offering.

Requirements:

About you:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, Business with IT background or equivalent experience;
• Three years or more of experience in product management;
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Superior planning and prioritization abilities – Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and successfully within respective constraints and deadlines;
• Strong collaboration skills – demonstrated ability to lead and influence others in a project and matrix environment;
• Effective communications skills, including the ability to make compelling written and oral presentations;
• Strong people skills and approachability; capacity to interact at all levels of the organization;
• Strong command of the English language (spoken/written) is essential. Spoken and written French as well as other languages are an asset;
• Experience in the physical security market is an asset;
• Experience with SaaS solutions is an assest.
